Gartner Conferences help IT and business executives and their teams achieve stronger performance on their organizations mission-critical priorities. We are seeking a hands-on Content Marketing Manager to develop and execute marketing messages and strategies that amplify the Gartner Conferences brand and increase awareness of, and attendance at, global conferences.
Alongside the Product Marketing Director, this position will be responsible for leading initiatives that help further define Gartner Conferences value proposition and execute marketing campaigns that communicate our value propositions to consumers.
Candidates should have expertise in 3 key areas:
- Content Strategy and Development: This person will be pivotal in working with our content marketing and social media teams to develop highly creative content based on insights and data to ensure success across paid marketing, and owned Gartner channels, such as email and web landing pages. They will act as a highly cross-functional team player and lead the effort to support business priorities by executing innovative creative content for key strategic initiatives.
- Digital Innovation: The candidate will need a high awareness of the competitive digital landscape, the ability to collaborate with external and internal partners for brand-led moments and work with teams to execute best in class campaigns across web, social, SEO/SEM and other channels.
- Product Strategy: Development of positioning and messaging around specific Gartner conference offerings that empowers our external and client-facing channels to help deliver on commercial conference attendee revenue goals.
Ultimately, this individual will collaborate with our content, brand, conference marketing, program management, and sales enablement teams to develop innovative programs that drive demand for a senior level business audience.
What you’ll do:
- Collaborate with program management, conference marketing, brand and marketing communications to develop creative conference messaging that resonates with our target buyer.
- Work with brand, SEO, editors, writers, actors, producers, project managers and other team members to produce content.
- Fully understand the different types of Gartner clients and products to develop messaging aligned to their specific needs and buyer journey
- Perform content audits to assess how well existing content is performing and content gap analyses to determine what type of content is missing and what is needed.
- Work with Digital Marketing Center of Excellence and analytics tools to inform and identify the best channel mix to drive best possible ROI on campaign spend
- Assess the effectiveness of the TOFU marketing programs on an ongoing basis, and report back to the business on required changes.
- Research and stay up to date on the latest developments in terms of search engine optimization, content trends and consumer behavior.
- Consume client and conference attendee survey data and competitive analysis to craft messaging and inform market opportunity assessments and campaign strategies
- Understand the competitive landscape—be an expert on our competition and how they are positioned.
What you'll need:
- Bachelor's Degree in related field of study
- Minimum of 5 years’ experience in creating content and product marketing
- Ability to write compelling copy across various marketing assets and tailor the message to a senior level business audience
- Experience in outbound / digital marketing and direct responsibility for delivering revenue through marketing and sales channels
- Proven marketing leader and partner to sales and client-facing stakeholders
- Knowledge and experience in multi-channel marketing campaign creation, lead management, and pipeline conversion
- Data-driven and analytical; experience with Google Analytics a plus
- Email marketing, with marketing automation experience such as Eloqua or similar
- Great interpersonal, collaborative and oral/written communication skills
- Experience with fundamental principles of design
- SEO/SEM, web content creation and content management skills;
- Left Brain + Right Brain by nature; understand customer insights, data and analysis and be able to use it to develop compelling messaging, copy and content
