Description:
The primary functions of this position are to manage University Housing and the Resident Experience's social media and graphic design presence. This person will also assist with all special events across our residence halls, provide assistance to the Assistant Director on departmental public outreach and communications efforts, and assist in the outreach and logistical tasks for the resident move-in process. Some hours will occur outside of traditional 8:30am - 5:00pm workday.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
- Content Management:
- Create, proofread, and edit written publications for Student Affairs, Admissions, and campus partners.
- Manage social media content and presence for various events and initiatives.
- Social Media Strategy and Video Production:
- Manage UHRE social media platforms, develop content calendars, and analyze metrics.
- Conceptualize, script, storyboard, and produce engaging videos for YouTube and TikTok to showcase department initiatives and achievements.
- Move-In Coordination:
- Assist the Move-In Committee with tasks like ordering promotional items, managing Room Stuffing, and overseeing event logistics.
- Maintain a social media presence before and during move-in activities.
- Student Engagement:
- Ensure student input is considered in marketing and communication strategies.
- Supervise student worker teams, including social media assistants and graphic designers.
- Serve as a point of contact for inquiries and concerns from students, staff, and parents regarding housing.
- Event Coordination:
- Coordinate and execute various events and resource fairs, including orientations, housing tours, and recruitment events.
- Research, order promotional and manage promotional item inventory and distribution for marketing events.�
