Description:
With the Communications Manager, the Marketing Coordinator assists with planning and executing marketing and communications initiatives to build awareness, drive attendance, and promote the Museum. This position is key to implementing multi-channel, integrated campaigns, and outreach efforts utilizing engagement methods including digital and traditional media.
Job Duties:
- Writes relevant and engaging content to reach key demographics for a variety of print and digital media channels including social media, website, and email.
- Oversees the development of the social media and email.
- Drafts, schedules, and monitors social media content and external monthly emails.
- Ensures the website stays updated and works across departments to implement changes.
- Creates graphics and reels for social media and other promotional uses.
- Oversees day-to-day execution of community management across social media channels.
- Collaborates across the organization to serve as quality control and editor to ensure communications are cohesive, meet Museum standards, and convey a consistent brand to both internal and external stakeholders.
- Assists in tracking and reports on metrics and analytics for all marketing efforts.
- Serves as a member of cross-departmental teams, as appropriate including assisting with Museum programs and events.
Key Requirements:
- B.A./B.S., with a preference for a degree in the humanities, journalism, or marketing/communications.
- One to three years of relevant experience.
- Excellent verbal and writing skills, familiarity with A.P. style preferred.
- Strong project planning, critical thinking and problem solving; self-motivated and self-directed.
- Superior organizational skills and attention to detail, flexibility, and the ability to adapt to a fast-paced environment, and the ability to reprioritize tasks as needed.
- Familiarity with Canva, Adobe Suite, or other tools for graphic design.
- Proficiency in Office Suite, Emma or another email marketing platform, Patron Manager or another CRM database.
