What This Role Does:

  • Oversees newsletter production and program website adhering to HealthFitness corporate guidelines and standards. Develops artistic marketing materials with program team for the promotion of programs and services.
  • Coordinates facility advertising including planning, budgeting and execution. Develops annual goals and objectives.
  • Delivers facility events in collaboration with program team.
  • Maintains site social media platforms. Positively engages members and participants through various media.
  • Arranges media interviews and serves as facility representative as needed.
  • Coordinates the development and manages the implementation of member retention and customer satisfaction programs.
  • Develops and adheres to annual budget for respective department and provides monthly department reports.
  • Regularly interacts with members. Assists in tours and member services including phone calls to prospective and cancelled members.
  • Collaboratively assists at the front desk providing periodic cleaning and towel laundering.
  • Other duties as needed/assigned.

What You'll Need:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Communications, Marketing, Graphic or Web Design, or related field and 1-2 years of direct experience.
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills when interacting with a wide variety of stakeholders and a customer service focus. Hands on writing skills for press releases, newsletters and web content.
  • Demonstrated experience developing high-level electronic and multi-media marketing collateral. In-depth knowledge of design software and applications including Photoshop, Illustrator and InDesign or Canva.
  • Proficiency in graphic design, web management and social networking. Demonstrated ability to produce basic video productions.
  • Adult CPR/AED and First Aid certifications from American Heart Association, American Red Cross or American Safety & Health Institute required within 90 days of hire.
  • Evidence of experience & ability to coordinate multiple simultaneous projects.
  • Ability to prioritize workflow demands and work effectively both independently and as part of a team with enthusiasm, initiative and creativity.
