As a MANUFACTURING SYSTEMS ANALYST, supporting the ENGINEERING MANUFACTURING SYSTEMS TEAM, you will be trusted with supporting / managing large scale manufacturing systems (ERP, MES, SCADA, Data Analytics). Acts as Subject Matter Expert (SME) for all master data objects creation / maintenance in SAP, as modeler in MES, and SCADA. Provides site expertise in data analytics / reporting within the HUNTINGTON MANUFACTURING FACILITY at HUNTINGTON, WEST VIRGINIA. (US).

In this role, a typical day will include:
 

  • Designs manufacturing processes, procedures and production layouts for assemblies, equipment installation, processing, machining and material handling.
  • Designs sequence of operations and specifies procedures for the fabrication of tools and equipment and other functions that affect product performance.
  • Adapts machine or equipment design to fulfill specific customer demands while optimizing factory and production conditions.
  • May incorporate inspection and test requirements into the production plan.
  • Inspects performance of machinery, equipment, and tools to verify their efficiency, and investigates and initiates corrective action of problems and deficiencies to ensure deviations in product quality meet acceptable reliability standards and that documentation is compliant with requirements.
  • Develops manufacturing processes that are applicable to statistical process control, and may develop those techniques.
  • Provides guidance regarding product design concepts and specification requirements to best utilize equipment and manufacturing techniques.
  • Prepares and maintains statistical data and reports to ensure the plant's processes and procedures are in compliance with regulations. Identifies process improvements in order to drive down waste through the use of Lean tools and Six Sigma methodologies.
  • Acts as site expert for master data changes relating to Manufacturing, Quality and Supply Chain data objects in ERP as well as modeling activities in MES.
  • Provides technical support for projects related to ERP, MES, SCADA and data analytics.
  • Support and create SOPs and processes relating to ERP, MES, SCADA and data analytics.
  • Provide expertise in resolving complex master data / infrastructure connections when issues found by business.
  • Facilitate site business meetings relating to ERP, MES, SCADA and data analytics.
  • Assist business with enhancement requests and implementation.
     

WHAT YOU'LL BRING TO ALCON:
 

  • Bachelor’s Degree or Equivalent years of directly related experience (or high school +10 yrs; Assoc.+6yrs; M.S.+0 yrs)
  • The ability to fluently read, write, understand and communicate in English
  • 2 Years of Relevant Experience
  • Work hours: Monday through Friday from 8:00am – 5:00pm
  • Travel Requirements: 0 to 10%
