Description:

This position is responsible for a team of individuals that support monitoring, reporting and compliance of IT Software and Hardware Asset Management programs. Position manages report generation and performs analysis to develop and identify compliance, cost savings and improvements. Responsible for maintaining and presenting current Software Asset Management concepts and objectives that align with the strategic goals and standards of the Entergy IT organization.

JOB DUTIES/RESPONSIBILITIES

• Monitors, maintains, and enforces licensing and asset standards, policies, and procedures
• Participate in the development of best practices to optimize and drive increased efficiency through collaboration across internal teams
• Proactively tracks and manages all software in the asset management tool, including license costs, counts, usage, and forecasts
• Help utilize and interpret SAM tools (Flexera, ServiceNow) to better track and manage licenses
• Manages the reporting of licensing and asset data on a periodic basis.
• Provide periodic software usage analysis and reports outlining use, efficiencies/optimizations, and possible cost savings
• Responsible for the reconciliation of installed software vs. licensed entitlements and remediates software non-compliance by initiating removals or additional purchases based on needs
• Lead software audit response with data gathering and license position reporting
• Develop and leverage detailed and comprehensive data analysis
• Extensive knowledge of software development life cycle methodologies
