HERE’S A TASTE OF WHAT YOU’LL BE DOING

  • Cross Functional Leadership - Lead the packaging graphic pre-production process (Tier 3 Design) for Kellogg North America, aligning and collaborating with internal partners, design/prepress agencies, and print suppliers, to ensure accuracy of packaging content and copy, with consistent and predictable print quality. Collaborate with cross-functional teams to plan, implement and track packaging updates for major company-led initiatives from Legal, Regulatory, Nutritional labeling, Marketing, RQT, Procurement and Supply Chain, to ensure the projects are optimized for quality, cost and timeline efficiency.
  • External Partnerships - Manage partnership and continuous growth with external prepress agency, and lead Supplier Relationship Management process in collaboration with Procurement. Directly oversee the Packaging Prepress Project Management process and the contracted external prepress agency support team. Onboard design agencies to ensure understanding of artwork specifications and enable effective hand-offs from design to prepress.
  • Process & Technology Management - Lead alignment of expectations, delivery of KPIs & SLAs, process compliance and governance with external prepress support team. Ensure that approved Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) are adopted and utilized by contracted external resources. Partner with external prepress agency to support print feasibility assessments in Design Pre-Production meetings, ideating prepress and production solutions to achieve design intent through various print processes. Oversee, administer, and lead optimization of packaging graphic workflow within Kellogg’s internal workflow management system (KPath). Support KPath system administration, form updates, reporting, user access and training. Analyze packaging pre-press and inventory write-off data to identify drivers and opportunities for improvement.
  • Technical Expertise - Establish, deploy and maintain standards and protocols associated with digital artwork files, print reproduction, and color. Ideate and implement solutions that enable process simplification, continuous improvement and resource efficiency. Partner with agencies, printers, Corporate Quality, Packaging Engineering & Procurement to resolve print quality issues, driving root cause analysis and corrective action with suppliers.

YOUR RECIPE FOR SUCCESS

  • Bachelor’s Degree, with preferred focus in visual communications, graphic design, or print. Minimal requirement of Associates Degree and equivalent industry experience will be considered.
  • Working experience within design production, pre-press and/or printing; including processes, methodologies and technology
  • Deep understanding of print quality and color management, and experience with problem-solving to address production challenges and improve print quality
  • Significant experience building effective teams and collaborating toward mutual goals with cross-functional partners
  • Strong time management and prioritization skills with rigor, discipline, and attention to detail
  • Ability to establish and implement actionable standards and protocols
  • Strong communication skills and balanced assertiveness to influence best practices and process adherence
  • Experience leading process optimization and continuous improvement
  • Proficient knowledge of design/graphic lifecycle management systems
  • Proficient experience with Microsoft Office (Word, PowerPoint, Excel, Publisher)
  • Knowledge of Adobe Creative Suite software (InDesign, Photoshop, Illustrator, Acrobat, Flash)
