Description:

The University of Illinois Foundation (Foundation) is the official fundraising and private gift-receiving organization of the University of Illinois (University). It works closely with alumni and friends, faculty and staff, corporations and foundations, as well as campus development professionals to create fundraising programs and opportunities that benefit the University.

 

The Manager of Campaign Operations is responsible for the support and coordination of campaign efforts for the University of Illinois Foundation and its three universities. The Manager is on the central development services team but will work closely with colleagues in the Foundation and university advancement to guide the operations and projects that will provide for the success of University of Illinois institutional and centralized campaign activity. The Manager will work with a variety of Foundation service teams to ensure efficient and excellent team operations, communication, and deliverables associated with campaign activity. This position serves with a deep understanding of advancement and fundraising knowledge, exceptional customer service skills, and a willingness to be creative and dynamic in responding to the needs of the organization and work.

 

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

· Creates and maintains overall project calendars for campaign activity across the University of Illinois System.

· Manages overall budgets and contracts, including for service providers, staff resources, and special initiatives related to campaign activity.

· Guides the development of reporting tools as well as forecasting and trend analysis related to campaign activity.

· Coordinates the development of policies related to campaign activity as well as manages the maintenance and organization of campaign related policies and procedures.

· Prepares reports, white papers, informational materials, and training sessions related to campaign activity.

· Maintains personal knowledge of trends in higher education and philanthropic campaign landscape, activity, and donor behaviors.

 

REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS:

· Bachelor's degree with at least five years of relevant advancement or fundraising experience.

· Project management experience and/or analytical experience.

· Proven ability to work in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment with changing priorities and sometimes moving deadlines.

· Excellent communication (verbal and written), interpersonal and customer service skills.

· Proficiency in MS Office suite and the ability to prepare dynamic and engaging reports and information for a variety of stakeholders.

· Exhibits development program values of integrity, civility, collaboration, innovation, and impact.
