Duties Include:

• Provide Traffic Engineering services to a diverse client base
• Lead preparation of Traffic Studies and Traffic Impact Analyses, NCDOT Express Design Traffic Evaluations, and Traffic Modeling
• Mentor staff within the Traffic Engineering team
• Assist with high growth potential of traffic engineering services across firm

Qualifications:

• Ideal candidate will have a BS or MS degree in Civil/Transportation Engineering with 10+ years of experience
• Professional Engineer in North Carolina or the ability to acquire licensure within 6 months of hire
• Must have familiarity in preparing Express Design Traffic Evaluations for NCDOT, as well as preparing traffic impact studies, including modeling and simulations in HCS, Synchro, and other modeling programs
• Experience in traffic operations studies including turn lane queue analysis, intersection analysis, roundabout analysis, and preparing supporting technical reports.
• Project traffic forecasting, travel demand, and miscellaneous planning support
• Experience in providing representation at public hearings and meetings is a plus
• Ability to manage multiple traffic assignments
• Ability to assist in preparation of proposals and presentations for clients
• Strong report writing and communication skills
• Previous project management experience including schedule tracking, budget preparations, and client coordination is a plus
