Description:
The Manager, DEI (Manager, DEI) will be responsible for strategizing, managing, and driving DEI activations including (but not limited to) the Inclusive Conversations and A Conversation With… series, and cultural Moments That Matter in support of DEI strategy and business objectives. The Manager, DEI will partner closely with their DEI colleagues, Business Resource Groups (BRGs), and People & Culture (P&C) to ensure the successful delivery of these strategic DEI initiatives and activations across WBD North America. The DEI Manager will report to the GVP, DEI North America.
Your Role Accountabilities
- Ideate and manage the rollout of Moments That Matter calendar of events and activities for the North America region to celebrate culture and belonging within the workforce.
- Ensure consistent level of collaboration with our BRGs to deepen the connectivity and reach of DEI events and activities.
- Collaborate across the regional DEI teams to align on events and activations across our global efforts.
- Own the relationship with internal Brand and Communication teams and external designers to finalize DEI planning, communication, and delivery of DEI activations, both in-person and virtual.
- Partner with GVP and Director, DEI BPs to carry out DEI activations/events that come from DEI Commitments set by our Business and Creative Councils.
- Provide thought leadership and contribute to the creation of a body of centralized resources (recordings, images, decks, etc.) for use across our workforce.
- Partner with internal teams and business units to provide project management support to organize, schedule, and deliver DEI related training.
- Collaborate on the research, design, and build-out of internal and external DEI presentations across a range of DEI areas.
- In partnership with GVP and DEI BPs, and some leadership teams, identify and own opportunities to support external DEI brand through completion of benchmarks, awards, and sponsorships.
- Partner with other areas of P&C, CSR, and other internal teams on areas with cross-functional DEI interest.
- Other projects as assigned by the GVP or Director DEI BPs.
Qualifications & Experience
- Minimum of 5 years of experience, preferred leading activations and events; experience providing this type of support within a DEI team, preferred.
- Minimum of 5 years of experience, preferred working with Brand and Communications teams, as well as designers.
- Ability to successfully engage in and manage external community organization/sponsor relationships.
- Excellent written and verbal communications along with presentation skills.
- Excellent project management and organizational skills.
- Must be self-initiating, exercise good judgment, and be able to work with minimal supervision.
- Demonstrated effectiveness managing diverse stakeholders including but not limited to executives, BRG members, external vendors and consultants.
- Demonstrated ability to work collaboratively..
- Proven influencing and relationship building skills with internal and external partners and people from various backgrounds and cultures.
