This role provides significant exposure to senior leadership and opportunities to work with a variety of cross-functional partners across Commercial and Technology organizations. A successful Business Analytics Manager is driven, flexible, able to think on their feet and solve ambiguous problems creatively. They have demonstrated skill with technical tools and processes through data analysis, data visualization, or other similar experience. Business Analytics Managers must be detail-oriented and thrive in a fast-paced, dynamic work environment.

What You'll Do
 

  • Conduct rigorous analyses, generate data-driven, strategic insights, craft high-impact solutions, and deliver accurate results to stakeholders and leadership by leveraging the right statistical methods and advanced analytical techniques
  • Serve as a thought partner with Product, Engineering, and Design teams to identify areas of opportunity, define / execute tracking plans for the toolset, and influence prioritization decisions with data
  • Communicate findings with a clear point of view and compelling visualizations so your insights can be used to help drive product strategy
  • Comprehend, extract, and massage information from large data sources including sales, clickstream, logistics, product, and customer databases to deliver business insights and recommendations that drive and accelerate revenue growth
  • Develop, distribute, and maintain scalable self-service tools and dashboards that align with broader departmental goals, allowing cross-functional partners to access data and identify meaningful insights
  • Serve as the subject matter expert for data, analytics, and testing within the business unit to ensure accurate and proper interpretation of core business metrics and consumer behavior
  • Oversee advanced analytics completed by team members, coaching and improving analytic code as needed
  • Hire, train, mentor, and develop best-in-class analytical talent. May be required to manage a team of 0-5 junior analysts and/or provide informal mentorship as needed to ensure team return on investment remains high

     

What You'll Need
 

  • Master’s degree in Computer Science, Mathematics, Economics, Statistics, Engineering, Analytics, Information Systems, or other quantitative and technically rigorous discipline required
  • 4+ years of work experience in analytics, business intelligence, data science, or engineering performing quantitative analysis; experience with startups and / or advertising a plus
  • Proficient knowledge of SQL / Eden, Google Cloud Platform, and Excel / Google Sheets with proven track record of insight development leading to action
  • Experience creating and managing data visualization dashboards using tools, such as Google Data Studio, Looker, Tableau, or similar for business reporting
  • Knowledge of Python / Git is preferred, but not required
  • Strong technical aptitude with demonstrated experience leveraging large data sets to identify trends, drill into specific details, make recommendations, and deliver upon desired outcomes
  • Strong organizational skills and attention to detail with the ability to manage and prioritize multiple projects at once
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills with the ability to tailor communication style based on the audience
