As a Global Front End Wet Chemical Supplier Manager, you will manage a large strategic supplier or suppliers through strategies, techniques, models, and processes that result in high-quality supplier support when providing goods and services. Collaborating with Supplier Managers, Category Managers, and supplier account teams across multiple categories. You will engage in and lead the development and implementation of supplier strategies to optimize cost, supply, and quality. You will be also supporting critical initiatives, supplier performance management, global supplier coordination, sourcing activities, and supplier relationships.
Key Responsibilities
Supplier Management
- Participate in commercial supplier qualification activities to ensure the commercial development of strategic suppliers
- Lead cross-category and significant company-to-company customer concerns; support category critical issues for assigned suppliers as needed
- Serve as the center of knowledge for the assigned supplier(s) and share knowledge with key customers and members of the category teams to enable more effective planning, forecasting, and execution
- Partner with the category team and customers to build a comprehensive view of supplier performance
- Communicate key supplier management updates and decisions to multiple levels in the organization, including Executive Leadership
Cost Management & Analysis
- Identify and evaluate category-specific savings/revenue levers
- Drive category savings/revenue and scorecard metric targets
- Provide market intelligence and category trends to relevant internal customers
- Use should-cost models for assigned categories that are benchmarked and relevant to the global marketplace
Negotiation
- Collaborate across categories to ensure unified negotiation plans
- Lead or participate in negotiations for contract extensions and renewals, renegotiation of prices, transfers, etc
- Lead sourcing events/RFQ process into bundled negotiation
- Incorporate savings targets and contract requirements negotiations
- Develop a contract strategy for suppliers in assigned categories and create, negotiate, monitor, and enforce contracted terms and conditions
Business Partnering
- Collaborate with Customers to Deliver Strategic Solutions
- Develop and maintain your skills with the global assigned supplier(s) through relationships with Category Teams.
- Drive a customer-centric approach to solving issues and representing Procurement
- Steer sourcing projects for alternative suppliers to support business initiatives
You Are
- Well-versed in the Wet Chemical supply market and supplier landscape, preferably the United States supply chain ecosystem. Knowledge of Fab operations and Wet processes will be an added advantage.
- Experienced in a supplier management role, preferably in a semiconductor industry
- Demonstrate experience in supplier management techniques
- Ability to lead without direct authority
- Strong in negotiation and communication skills
Qualifications & Skills
- Minimum 3 years of proven experience in a Procurement role
- Bachelor or Master’s degree or equivalent experience in Science, Electrical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Industrial Engineering, Business Administration, or Supply Chain with a minimum 7 years of Semicon experience
- Professional Procurement Certification (ISM, APICS, etc) will be an advantage
- Proficient in written and verbal communication and presentation skills
- Advanced skills in material cost structure understanding and analysis
