  • Grasp the alignment between your technology/application and the strategic objectives of business partners at Mutual of Omaha.
  • Adhere to a methodical process while implementing designs, functioning seamlessly within a collaborative team.
  • Collaborate closely with the team to identify challenges and strategize ways to expedite project delivery.
  • Interpret business/user requirements adeptly, applying inventive problem-solving techniques to materialize these needs.
  • Implement code efficiently by employing established frameworks and patterns.
  • Flexibly undertake various roles such as individual contributor, leader, educator, and mentor as needed.
  • Reutilize designs and design components to optimize efficiency.

  • Apply expertise in Software Engineering and Test Automation to all stages of software development, ensuring comprehensive solutions.
  • Participate in ideation sessions, contributing inventive digital solutions by crafting apps, APIs, and data-driven strategies.
  • Cultivate a user-centric and product-oriented perspective to deliver optimal end-user experiences.

 

 

WHAT YOU’LL BRING:

  • Successfully tackled challenges in full-stack application development and implementation over the past three years or more including:
    • DB2, SQL, JCL, CA7, Topaz, COBOL, .NET, and overall mainframe knowledge
  • Independent leadership in design, development, and technology implementations.
  • Proven experience with modern continuous development and build practices.
  • Firm grasp of the Agile mindset and iterative development process.
  • Recognition of coding quality standards' significance and their impact on long-term viability.
  • Effective team communication and collaboration skills for creative problem-solving.
  • Adaptability to shifting priorities, contributing positively to team success via multitasking.
  • Inherent drive to explore new technologies through research and investigation.
  • Proficient use of patterns and frameworks to solve problems and support enterprise-level applications within a team structure.
