Description:
Our Florence, SC distribution center charges, packages and ships the batteries used in cars, boats, and motorcycles. We have been here since 2007 and now employ more than 285 people and operate six days per week. We are actively involved in our local community and received the United Way Campaign Excellence Award annually since 2015. Our employees also support the American Heart Association.
Primary Duties:
- Adhere to all safety standards including the wearing of Personal Protective Equipment.
- Learn how to perform all functions on assigned production machines, including controlling and adjusting machine settings, feed raw materials or parts to semi-automated machines.
- Verify product meets quality standards and keep records of approved and defective units.
- Clean equipment, tools, etc. and surrounding area between jobs to maintain a clean and orderly work area.
- Trained to load and unload the machines with product.
- Trained to perform minor repair on machines.
- Trained to perform minor preventive maintenance on machines.
- Prepare daily production, maintain records of production and time reports.
- Perform quality checks on products.
- You will be trained to place labels on products when needed and palletizing products for the Material Handlers to grab and place on racks for customers.
Qualifications
- High School Diploma or GED preferred not required.
- 1+ year(s) of manufacturing experience.
- Must be able to perform basic math functions.
- Must be comfortable standing for long periods of time.
- Must be comfortable working in a hot environment.
- Comfortable with work overtime as needed along with potential working weekends.
