Description:
Key Responsibilities:
- Demonstrate knowledge and skills required to maneuver, load, and unload small & large construction equipment on heavy equipment trailers.
- Maintains a current medical certification.
- Conducts daily preventative maintenance checks on truck and trailer units.
- Demonstrate proper chain securement procedures for equipment transport.
- Knowledge and ability to navigate the area of central Arkansas to complete delivery requirements.
- Conduct electronic log device (ELD) entries tracking hours of service requirements.
Position Requirements:
- Valid Class A CDL
- Current Medical Card.
- Must be able to comply with DOT Requirements.
- Work independently as well as take direction.
- Clean driving record.
- Follow all applicable laws and regulations.
- The applicant must be able to follow directions and safety regulations, written and verbal, in English.
- Ability to operate manual shift transmission.
- Willing to work various schedules including nights and weekends when necessary.
- Willing to work out-of-town when necessary.
- Minimum of 2 years commercial driving experience
Working Conditions/Physical Requirements:
- Work environment is consistent of an office and facility with construction equipment inventory and repair/service shop and may also include construction job site.
- Noise levels can be loud.
- Safety training required; PPE required outside of office/parking lot area.
- PPE must comply with site specific requirements.
- Occasional lifting may be required up to 75 lbs.
- Must be able to sit and stand for long periods of time with frequent bending and stooping.
