Description:
The Logistics Supervisor is responsible for supervising and participating in shipping, receiving, storing, and issuing products, inventory, and fixed assets. They must maintain records for receiving and inventory control, and prepare reports related to Test and Evaluation Programs. Additionally, they are responsible for enforcing safety protocols and reporting quality metrics to other management team members.
This position will be required to work on-site 5 days a week.
What you can do:
- Supervise a team of logistics clerks and assign them daily and long-term tasks
- Performance manage a team of logistics clerks by setting goals, providing feedback, coaching, and conducting regular performance evaluations
- Monitor the attendance of logistics clerks by approving time off requests, making edits to the schedule as necessary, and ensuring compliance with company policies and procedures
- Ensure the workforce is appropriately trained for the safe execution of required tasks
- Create, implement, and maintain logistics solutions
- Oversee the warehouse operations and ensure that everything runs smoothly. This includes managing inventory, monitoring shipment schedules, and maintaining a clean and safe working environment
- Notify purchasing of obsolete items, missing or quantities nearing stock-out
- Maintain accurate inventory stock location files and audit programs
- Maintain a material-issued log and ensure the right components are distributed to production
- Ensure that the tool rooms are regularly calibrated to maintain the tools and equipment in good working condition
- Maintain a master inventory for all ground support equipment and capital assets across all sites
- Procure supplies, consumables, hardware, support equipment, and other miscellaneous items for all functions in Test Evaluation and Certification
- Manage the movement and storage of aircraft, parts, equipment, and supplies across all locations
- Ensure compliance with all regulatory, company, and industry processes and standards
- Up to 25% of domestic and international travel
- Other duties as assigned
What you can contribute:
- Bachelor’s degree required
- Minimum five (5) years of experience in logistics (an equivalent combination of education and experience may be considered)
- Experience in managing logistics
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Proactive delivery of communication and follow up
- Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail
- Must have the ability to independently prioritize and accomplish work within time constraints
- Proficiency with Excel VLOOKUP, pivot tables, MS Office Suite
