Library Marketing And Communications Director

 

Description:

As a member of the library Executive Management Team, this position shares responsibility and accountability for leadership of the library system which includes providing counsel to library staff, representing the executive management team internally, and participating in collaborative decision making with fellow senior leaders.

This role will require you to provide systemwide communications and marketing program management. This includes:

  • Leading and providing creative and strategic vision for the library’s marketing and communications functions
  • Affirming the library’s commitment to diversity, equity and inclusion across all services and platforms
  • In conjunction with the Public Communications & Policy Manager, serving as the library’s staff liaison to the Chair’s Office, Commissioners and other county leaders
  • Partnering with the library director to develop and advance a vision for the library that inspires public confidence and long term investment
  • Implementing and assisting in the development of policies, procedures, and business practices to support smooth and efficient operations across the marketing and communications team.
  • Crafting key budget documents that explain library priorities and use of resources
  • Identifying, obtaining, and overseeing the management of funding from grants, The Library Foundation, Friends of the Library, State of Oregon, and other agencies
