Summary: Colorado Mesa University is seeking applicants for an adjunct faculty position to teach GEOG 131: Introduction to Cartography. This is an online course for students in the social sciences, geosciences, and surveying academic pathways.
GEOG 131 Course Description: Introduction to maps as tools for communication and analysis of location-related information, including an introduction to concepts in Geographic Information Systems (GIS) and Global Positioning Systems (GPS).
Adjunct faculty at CMU are part-time employees who are hired on an as-needed basis. Required Qualifications: Master's Degree or PhD in a relevant field
Experience teaching GIS or cartography
Requires knowledge of basic map components, map types and characteristics, and uses.
Should have working knowledge of GIS
Experience teaching online or hybrid courses preferred
