Department of Fine Arts

at Saint Anselm College, a Roman Catholic undergraduate liberal arts college in the Benedictine tradition in Manchester, NH invites applications for two part-time adjunct faculty positions for the Spring 2025 semester.

The successful candidates will teach a section, or combination of sections, of Typography & Design (Mondays 1:30-4:00pm), Art & Design for the Web (Mondays 4:30-7:00pm), and/or Visual Communications (Thursdays 1:00-3:30pm). Typography & Design introduces students to typeface design, typesetting and typographic systems and the use of text in a communication design context using Adobe Illustrator and InDesign. The web design course encompasses UX/UI design with prototyping in Adobe Xd, and introductory site development in Dreamweaver using HTML5 and CSS elements. The Visual Communications course introduces students to visual communication theories including visual metaphor, semiotics, Gestalt principles, and a basic introduction to Adobe software to utilize these strategies. Student enrollments include a mixture of studio art and graphic design majors/minors, web design minors, and non-majors.
