Key Responsibilities

Visual Identity Leadership: Spearhead the development and execution of WSJ’s visual identity across digital, print, and environmental branding. Ensure brand consistency and high-quality design standards across all touchpoints.

Creative Strategy: Collaborate with marketing, editorial, and product teams to craft compelling visual strategies that enhance brand recognition and drive engagement.

Team Leadership and Development: Lead, mentor, and inspire a team of visual designers, fostering a collaborative, innovative, and performance-driven environment.

Design Execution: Hands-on design work, including the creation of marketing collateral, digital campaigns, event branding, and promotional materials.

Innovation: Stay abreast of design trends, technologies, and best practices. Integrate innovative design solutions that enhance user experience and engagement.

Cross-Functional Collaboration: Work closely with stakeholders across the organization to ensure design aligns with business goals and editorial standards.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Graphic Design, Visual Communications, or a related field.
  • 10+ years of professional design experience, with at least 2 years in a leadership role.
  • Familiarity with UX/UI design principles
  • A strong portfolio demonstrating expertise in brand identity, digital design, and creative strategy.
  • Advanced knowledge of the Adobe Creative Suite (Illustrator, Photoshop, InDesign)
  • Exceptional communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to lead projects in a fast-paced environment.
  • Experience in media, publishing, or a related industry is a plus.
