Lead Moving Specialist

Description:

Must possess necessary licenses or certifications to operate assigned types of vehicles or equipment. Must possess a valid Vehicle Operator’s License. Commercial Driver’s License endorsement is required or must be obtained within 6 months of hire date.

Essential Job Functions

Position will function as the Lead Moving Specialist for campus moving operations.
This entails serving as the primary contact for departmental communications and scheduling of campus move requests.
This position will lead and coordinate a team of moving specialists in the completion of move requests.
Occasionally this position will coordinate larger teams of employees on an as needed basis determined by the scope of the moving request.
Position requires excellent communication skills with coworkers, staff, students, and faculty.
Will be responsible for time entry of moving operations specialists and will require the ability to process work orders using the AIM system.
Position is responsible for various equipment operations, which may include serving as a backup for the front-load garbage truck.
At times this position may be asked to assist other divisions within Landscape Services including grounds, waste management, and specialists.
This position will be required to work some athletic/ special events as needed.
Snow removal within an assigned zone is also a job responsibility of this person.

Position must possess the necessary experience and equipment operating knowledge to perform the request in a timely,safe and effective manner. Communication skills is a vital and necessary function of this position.
