Description:
As a skilled specialist in IC layout, candidate must have the ability to complete tasks in creative and effective ways, and work on assignments requiring considerable judgement and initiative. The candidate shall also understand implications of the work and be able to make recommendations for solutions, methodologies, and procedures.
Responsibilities
- Layout of RF and mixed-signal integrated circuit (IC) components from schematics, diagrams or netlists utilizing SOI, CMOS, RF CMOS and GaAs technologies in accordance with design rules.
- Directly interfacing with the IC design engineers to produce and optimize layouts for size and performance.
- Establish and meet project objectives and milestones.
Qualifications
- BS Degree in CAD or related technical discipline
- OR 12+ years of relevant experience required.
- For the generation of IC layouts and associated documentation: possess skills in the utilization of CAD tools, specifically Cadence Virtuoso 6.1.8, Cadence VirtuosoXL, Assura & Calibre Verification tools including DRC, LVS, and ERC.
- Demonstrated ability to be detail oriented with strong customer service skills.
- Ability to adapt quickly to change and work in a rapidly changing environment.
- A solid understanding of semiconductor manufacturing is required.
- Ability to coordinate and resolve issues with engineering groups.
- Ability to work within schedule constraints and maintain high quality standards.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills and the ability to work with multiple groups.
- Proficiency in Custom Analog, RF & Digital layout skills and be able to work at the cell, block and chip level.
- Possess solid knowledge of device matching issues and good analog/RF layout techniques.
