Description:
The lead Consultant Information Technology Risk Management (ITRM) is responsible for executing activities that help identify, analyze, manage, challenge, aggregate, and report on risk. The Lead Consultant performs analysis and modeling to mitigate risks, conducts research to identify emerging trends in risk management and risk mitigation, and supports the implementation of programs that ensure or improve the effectiveness of risk management.
Key Responsibilities
- Research and evaluate emerging trends, threats and technologies and Identify areas where risk may be an issue in the future
- Help prioritize monitoring and management activities to higher risk areas
- Analyze complex structured and unstructured data from a number of sources to identify key risk drivers
- Conduct analysis to isolate, describe and resolve both real and potential threats that can affect Allstate's technology environment and develop analytic and visual presentation strategies to ensure risk data is conveyed in meaningful and interpretive formats for all audience levels
- Review changes in company processes, standards, and technology to ensure the effectiveness of risk mitigation strategies
- Conduct complex technology and business impact and/or risk assessment analysis and provides recommendations and/or mitigation strategies to management
- Investigate and evaluate issues raised through automated monitoring or through risk and compliance meetings
- Attend risk and compliance meetings with your business partners to stay on top of risk and control issues and remain up to date on regulations that could impact your business partners risk and control environment
- Develop risk reporting for appropriate audiences (for example, to the board of directors so they understand the most significant risks, to senior leadership to ensure they are aware of risks relevant to their parts of the organization, and to individuals to understand their accountability for individual risks)
- Influence technology standards and policies and recommend changes to existing or suggestions for new standards and policies associated with risk mitigation
Education
- 4 year Bachelors Degree (Preferred)
Experience
- 5 or more years of experience (Preferred)
