About the Role & What You'll Do:
Spur Reply (Formerly The Spur Group) is looking for a Junior Visual Designer to join our Connected Communications service line. As a Junior Visual Designer, you will get to wear multiple hats as you work across teams and types of projects and work on high-impact deliverables. You will focus on both addressing functional needs and bringing emotional impact, and you will be translating audience needs and business objectives into designs that resonate.
You will bring some experience in design for traditional and digital work products and a knack for creative problem-solving. You will develop design strategy and deliver outstanding creative work within client engagements, collaborating with team members along the way. This includes planning, prioritizing, gathering feedback, and providing consultative support to bring complex concepts to life.
What you will do
Understand audience and communication objectives and develop a vision that reflects those objectives
Develop concepts that address objectives and raise the bar for quality and excellence in partnership with fellow team members
Transform concepts into workable designs
Present work effectively, capture feedback, address client requests, and explore suggestions
Translate brand identities into visual expressions across a variety of collateral, such as presentations, infographics, whitepapers, icons, and social posts – this may include building 2D illustrations and icons; manipulating stock photos to add brand elements or embed product UI; and creating layouts for slides, documents, and email templates
Support consulting team members with guidance on visual expression
Provide instruction to and oversight of third-party graphic vendors to ensure they meet our client objectives and quality bar
Make progress autonomously and keep team members and clients informed on status
Shape and provide input on internal processes to ensure smooth project execution
Lead client conversations in your areas of expertise, providing articulate recommendations and helping guide client choices

What you'll need (Requirements):
2+ years of visual design experience
Experience working in an agency, consultancy, or similar professional services environment is ideal
Well-developed design skills – illustrated by a portfolio of recent work samples
Proficiency with design and prototyping tools, including Adobe InDesign, Illustrator, & Photoshop
Expertise in Microsoft PowerPoint – layout work, iconography, photography, etc.
Knowledge of UX practices and interaction design
Strong written and verbal communication skills, including the ability to confidently present ideas
Strong teamwork skills, including the ability to work with people at all levels
Experience taking ownership of deliverables from beginning to end
A passion for creating solutions that fulfill target audiences’ needs
