Description:
Candidate may be remote, but must reside in Texas.
Responsibilities:
- Assist Project Managers on a wide range of planning tasks
- On behalf of Project Managers, participate in project deliveries for the FAA, state agencies, airports, and other clients
- Be actively engaged in the technical development of Planning deliverables
- Ability to develop Airport Layout Plan per Current FAA SOP
- Ability to author Airport Master Plan per Current FAA SOP
- Performs routine technical work which does not require previous experience
- Assists in the development of planning studies and reports including initial drafting of work products
- Performs research, collects data and gathers information or documents
- Performs standard computations or analysis
- Assists in the preparation of project documents of various types including narrative reports and other project documents, as necessary
- Assists in the preparation of drawings, maps and other visual aids within CAD, GIS and/or other graphical delivery platform
- Other duties as assigned by management.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor Degree in Planning, Civil Engineering, Aviation Administration or Aviation Management
- Knowledgeable of FAA Advisory Circulars, State Aviation DOTs, and/or have demonstrated experience in airport planning
- Work experience and relationships with airports, the FAA, and the consulting community is strongly preferred but not required
- Prior experience working in a consulting environment is desirable but not required
- Ability to communicate effectively, productively; both internal and external to the company.
- Ability and discipline to focus on detail
- Ability to work effectively both independently, and in a team environment with other planners, engineers, technicians or administrative staff, as needed.
- Creative problem solving skills to gather relevant information to solve both unique and well defined planning problems.
- Ability to work on several projects and issues simultaneously.
- Ability to create graphic designs, development strategies, and render plans via sketches and/or computer graphics.
