Duties
As an IT Project Manager (INFOSEC) you will perform duties and activities necessary to protect the integrity, confidentiality, and availability of the Institution’s data, automated information systems, and supporting information technology infrastructure. The following duties will be performed:
- Recommends, implements, configures, and integrates security products, into an overall security architecture through procurement, design, implementation, administration, maintenance and/or enhancement of IT security Plans, organizes, directs, supervises, and manages the personnel and activities of supporting staff.
- Investigates, tracks, documents, and reports security incident information in accordance with procedures.
- Follows established procedures for monitoring, identifying, and reporting suspected or actual security breaches.
- Performs actions to contain incidents in progress. Performs forensic analysis to identify the source and cause for computer security incidents.
- Conducts investigations of IT security violations and breaches and recommends policy and procedure solutions; prepares reports on intrusions as necessary and provides analysis summary to management. As needed, serves as the ITSS incident response led to oversee teams addressing cyber threats and incidents.
- Uses and interprets the results from commonly used vulnerability management, computer/network forensics, and security monitoring
- Provides project development plans and status updates and presentations in a variety of formats as requested. Articulates security best practices within the organization and collaboratively to stakeholders.
