At Securian Financial the internal title for this position is Internal Sales Sr. Analyst. Overview: Securian Financial Group has consistently measured strength in people as well as financial terms. This role will serve as a Subject Matter Expert (SME) for the Individual Life product suite. This individual should be a high energy professional who can work with a wide variety of channel partners to provide creative, technical advice for the sale of Individual Life solutions and lead marketing, sales, and implementation efforts involving their peers to achieve our Life sales goals. This would be a great role for someone who is passionate about Individual Life Insurance solutions and wants to work in a fast paced, time sensitive and evolving organization. Responsibilities include but not limited to: Develop and maintain strong relationships with both Internal and External Distribution Teams, along with Agents/Brokers to effectively educate, position and promote the Life product suite to increase overall sales results. Serve as Primary Subject Matter Expert (SME) for Securian's current, and future/to-be-developed suite of Life products/riders. Conduct competitive Life research and analysis and partner with Enterprise Marketing on the development of Life marketing materials. Create and identify sales opportunities through outbound and inbound calls. Work closely with external wholesaler to grow, schedule meetings and diversify the distribution for assigned territory. Profile new advisor relationships to target the right prospects. Provide intermediaries advisors with sales/marketing concepts and ideas. Communicate effectively to external and internal customers by answering incoming calls, asking appropriate questions and accurately disseminating information about life insurance products. Analyze competition data and position our products in a favorable manner. Utilize systems, technology and tools to track activities, fulfill requests, and profile advisor data. Prepare proposal materials and run illustrations. Qualifications: Personable, energetic, persistent and passionate about sales, with the ability to stay on the phone for lengthy periods of time. Excellent interpersonal, communication and persuasion skills to deliver effective sales presentations. Technical skills using spreadsheets and sales related software. Sales or product marketing experience in a business- to- business or corporate business setting. FINRA Series 6 and 63 and life/health/variable annuity license. In addition to FINRA exams, fingerprinting and background checks are conducted. Preferred Qualifications: Experience selling financial products. Knowledge of the Individual Life marketplace and associated state & federal Life regulations. Experience with long term care insurance or linked benefits. Four-year degree in sales or finance.
