What you will be doing
The Internal Communication Specialist is a skilled corporate writer who will be responsible for creating content for a variety of audiences. Under the direction of the Internal Communication Manager, this role is a pivotal copywriter for general writing assignments. This individual will work collaboratively with all areas of the business, communications, human resources, executive leadership, operations, and other teams to develop and execute internal communications strategies that drive business performance, enables team member performance, and supports the company and business unit strategy and annual financial plans.
This position is based in the Conshohocken, PA office; however, could be US based remote for the right candidate.
PRIMARY DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Develop and create effective copy and material for a variety of distribution sources (intranet, thought leadership website, executive communications, digital/social media, newsletters, etc.) to drive engagement in support of departmental and organizational communication goals.
- Assist in the development and creation of an enterprise communications dashboard to be delivered every quarter.
- Participate in content strategy discussions and develop and execute on internal communications plans for content that is relevant and engaging for target audiences.
- Assist in the creation of enterprise communications process and plans.
- Channel ownership and strategy for our enterprise intranet.
- Work on “quick turn” content deliverables that are rapidly produced along with long-term projects that involve collaboration with business leaders and functional partners across the organization.
- Build rapport with internal stakeholders and becomes a trusted advisor within the business units/teams and at the enterprise level.
- Research and stay abreast of latest trends, best practices and technologies in internal and enablement communications to ensure content remains fresh and engaging for our diverse workforce.
- Take ownership of deliverables and meet writing deadlines by effectively managing the deliverable lifecycle, including review and approval cycles with peer editors, internal business owners, etc.
- Works collaboratively with other members of the Business Communications team on cross-functional products and supports Commercial and Operational team communications as needed.
- Effectively communicate the status of deliverables to peers and leadership within the Business Communications team.
- Edit copy produced by internal contributors.
What your background should look like
- The ideal candidate will have at least 2-5+ years of progressive experience writing, editing and publishing content for a variety of different audiences
- A Bachelor’s degree in communications, English, political science, marketing or related discipline is strongly preferred
- The successful candidate must demonstrate the ability to understand company culture quickly and manage multiple assignments with maturity and speed.
