The Role

The Environmental, Health, Safety, and Security (EHS&S) Intern is responsible for supporting the implementation of the Madison facility's environment, health, and safety program initiatives. This position works with all departments, and the EHS-assigned scope is included in the daily work plans and schedules. The Intern also supports compliance with some basic regulatory reporting requirements.

 

• Assist in executing an effective EHS&S program that meets all regulatory requirements
• Gather information necessary for SOPs covering EHS&S-related activities
• Assist in ensuring the audit program is implemented and followed
• Conduct and update risk assessments with assistance from EHS&S specialists
• Safety Champions and other members through scheduled monthly meetings and help conduct monthly site audits
• Support Implementation Continuous Improvement opportunities as identified
• Ensure contractor EHS&S compliance and work with various departments
• Other duties as assigned
