Duties:
Responsible for coordinating and supervising field placements for teacher candidates in the Alternative Certification for Career and Technical Education (CTE) Licensure Program. In collaboration with the CTE Program Coordinator and CTE Faculty, provide outreach and recruitment for potential teacher candidates which includes, but not limited to:
- scheduling of intake, orientation and or interview
- managing the monitoring and processing of student applications
- conducting student teaching information sessions and orientation in collaboration with program faculty
- advising and counseling students
- maintaining files for student teachers, including the current database with all needed information for students teachers and placement sites
- collecting and analyzing assessment data from teacher candidates
- recruiting cooperating teachers and college supervisors
- assigning, supervising, and evaluating college supervisors for student placements
- conducting orientation and training for college supervisors
- establishing and maintaining affiliation agreements for schools serving as new placement sites
- processing program paperwork such as travel and mileage reimbursements, stipends, and scholarship distribution
- maintaining updated student teaching handbooks and program website for students, cooperating teachers, and college supervisors
- remaining current with any changes in teacher certification requirements as per the Hawai?i Department of Education.

- maintaining an approved program of professional self-improvement
- collecting data and preparing reports
- preparing/adapting/revising course objectives
- independently planning, organizing, and carrying out instructional and non-instructional assignments.
