Institutional Advancement & Grants Assistant

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

 

  • Conduct research to support both the Institutional Effectiveness and Advancement offices.
  • Compile and analyze data from institutional surveys to inform decision-making processes.
  • Ensure the orderly, accurate, and timely flow of information within and between departments.
  • Identify and research potential external funding sources aligned with the College’s mission and goals.
  • Assist in developing and managing strategic partnerships and fundraising strategies, including donor relationships, recognition, and stewardship.
  • Attend workshops and meetings to enhance the effectiveness of departmental operations and contribute to professional development.
  • Participates actively in staff meetings, division committees, and campus activities, supporting overall college objectives.
  • Assist with planning and executing community engagement events.
  • Respond promptly to donor inquiries.
  • Record and manage donations accordingly to IRS guidelines and College policies, and knowledge contributions on behalf of the College.
  • Engage in continuous professional development.
  • Demonstrate ethical behavior, loyalty, honesty, and integrity, both on and off the campus.
  • Participate in staff, division, and committee meetings as assigned.
  • Actively participate in division/college committee and campus activities.
  • Perform other duties as assigned by the President and Coordinator of Institutional Advancement and Grants.

 

Qualifications

 

  • Associate degree in Business, or related field required.
  • Bachelor’s degree in business, Marketing, or Economics preferred.
  • Advanced knowledge of Microsoft Office.
  • Strong organizational and communication skills.
  • Ability to manage projects with minimal supervision.
  • Experience in government contracting, grant management, project management, and budget development preferred.
  • Prior experience in postsecondary education preferred.
  • Strong strategic thinking skills preferred.
  • Experience in advocacy, fundraising, and event planning preferred.
  • Requires some work in evenings and weekends as well as travel.
  • Must have valid driver’s license.
