Influencer Relations Manager

Join us as an Influencer Relations Manager, one of our recently launched programs driven by the Equinix Influencer Relations team within Global Corporate Communications. In this role you will:

  • Lead independent B2B influencer strategies

  • Connect strategically across the Corporate Comms and content teams

  • Be part of a broader team influencing and engaging with this global community

  • Report to the Director of Influencer Relations & Customer Advocacy

 

The Influencer Relations team requires an industry expert who brings creative ideas and relationships to the program. We are a collaborative team looking to broaden our range of experiences and backgrounds; we are looking to transform the function in strategic, innovative and exciting ways.

 

Responsibilities

  • Maintain and grow strong relationships with key B2B influencers across digital infrastructure, multicloud, telecom, edge and aaS

  • Responsible for leading a cohesive strategy across the business – bringing influencer relationships, focused on near and longer-term digital infrast / multicloud / aaS strategies and execution

  • Drive engagement opportunities through influencers’ platforms, communications and marketing to ensure alignment with our engagement plans

  • Partner with external agency, AR managers, social media and PR team to develop tiered engagement model

  • Collaborate across executive and internal communications, social business teams to identify internal influencers and bring those people into development / execution of this program

  • Explore influencer communities relevant to digital infrastructure, multicloud and aaS, to extend perspectives we’re listening to into new strategic areas

  • Surface content / plans through content councils for marketing campaigns and social amplification consideration

  • Actively participate in social outreach and monitor key influencers

  • Secure multimedia opportunities with Equinix SMEs/leaders and influencers

  • Manage the agency relationship, budget and project allocation of funds to influencers

 

Qualifications

  • Demonstrate an ability to think strategically, practically and creatively

  • Ability to influence others to achieve results

  • Ability to collaborate across different groups internally

  • Ability to prioritize projects and deliverables

  • A great writer and editor of social content

  • Brings a clear understanding of the different social platforms and how to operate with each channel

  • Experience being in front of a camera and interviewing influencers for social channel amplification

  • Typically requires 8+ years of related experience with a bachelor’s degree

  • Fulltime remote position in tier 2 or 3 markets preferred; flexible hours to support projects in different time zones
