ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS

Talent Acquisition Functions

  • Manage full cycle for recruitment and hiring process, including job postings, outreach, interviews, onboarding, and dedicated support for hiring managers.
  • Research, identify, and coordinate recruitment, advertising, and outreach opportunities through a variety of pathways. This may include social media, targeted job boards, in-person career fairs, and more.
  • Network and build relationships with local professional groups, schools, and other arts and cultural institutions.
  • Generate diverse applicant pools of qualified candidates for every open requisition, with particular emphasis on engaging applicants from underrepresented demographic groups.
  • Create a holistic and equitable SAM hiring and recruitment strategy to increase top-of-funnel diversity for highly-qualified candidates and increase overall diversity of qualified candidates throughout the hiring funnel.
  • Track and report hiring metrics for each requisition, including conversion rates across hiring funnels and across department, hiring manager, and candidate demographic group.
  • Evaluate outcomes to uphold consistent, clear standards throughout the recruitment and hiring process at SAM.
  • Visualize and communicate talent acquisition data through prepared reports, graphs, and charts.
  • Manage meeting logistics for a variety of tasks, including in-person candidate processes (testing, interviews) by sending appointments, making room reservations, configuring meeting rooms, securing and arranging audio/visual equipment, and running online meetings or interviews.
  • Ensure a positive candidate experience by keeping an open line of communication throughout the recruitment process. This includes answering candidate questions, providing technical support, and arranging accommodations as required.
  • Occasional travel to job fairs and recruitment events may be required.


Human Resources Generalist Functions

  • Generate and track offer letters, submit background screening data, and update organizational charts.
  • Conduct new employee orientations, entrance interviews, and process employee paperwork.
  • Assist in development of effective internal networks to better connect SAM staff, interdepartmental committees, and affinity groups.
  • Work collaboratively with leadership, hiring managers, and other human resources staff on recruitment strategy, onboarding, and other HR-related functions.
  • Provide a wide variety of information, advice, and consultation to employees, management, and the public concerning SAM human resource programs policies and procedures.
  • Research and respond to general HR and hiring inquires, draft correspondence, and update and maintain HR filing system, reports, and tools accordingly.
  • In consultation with HR Director, work with employees and managers on issues and concerns in a solution-oriented and respectful manner.
  • Assist in employee recognition activities including coordinating the employee anniversary program.
  • Manage the SAM Wellness program, including interfacing with vendors, scheduling events, creating initiatives, and regularly updating the Intranet with Wellness information.


Administrative and Other Support Functions

  • Support data entry, processing, and monitoring of employee information in payroll and timekeeping systems; including new hires, status changes, terminations, and transfers.
  • Support the processing and tracking of benefits enrollments, eligibility changes, and termination of benefits for: medical, dental, Life/ADD, LTD, transit program, retirement, and other benefit programs.
  • Support entering of payroll deductions and employee contributions into ADP.
  • Gather data and generate reports for monthly DOL jobs reports, annual EEO-1, benefits census, transportation, wage and compensation surveys, or other reports as requested.
  • Update and maintain the HR Intranet site through SharePoint.
  • Responsible for maintaining HR files & record keeping systems including; employee files, I-9s, and medical files.
  • Respond to frequent employee requests and questions via email, telephone and in-person, communicates with vendors, applicants, insurance carriers, and other service providers, with accurate and timely information.
  • Audit and review department credit card, vendor and benefit invoices for accurate payment.

QUALIFICATIONS, KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, AND ABILITIES REQUIRED

Qualified candidates will have progressive Human Resources experience or any combination of education/experience that clearly demonstrates the ability to perform the scope of job duties of this position. This includes:
