Description:
We are looking for a skilled and proactive Human Resources Manager to oversee and manage various HR functions in our organization. The HR Manager will play a pivotal role in the recruitment and on-boarding process, employee relations, performance management, compensation and benefits, employee incidents, and employee development. This individual will ensure that HR initiatives align with company goals and foster a productive, compliant, and positive workplace environment. The HR manager will also be responsible for communicating key information and policies to department heads.
Responsibilities include, but not limited to:
-Recruitment & Talent Acquisition:
- Manage full-cycle recruitment, including sourcing, interviewing, and hiring employees for open positions.
- Develop and maintain relationships with recruiting agencies, job boards, and universities to attract top talent.
- Oversee the onboarding process, ensuring new hires are well-integrated and prepared for their roles.
-Employee Relations & Support:
- Act as a point of contact for employees regarding HR-related questions, concerns, and issues.
- Handle employee relations matters, including resolving conflicts, addressing grievances, exit interviews and promoting a positive work culture.
- Ensure effective communication between employees and management.
-Performance Management & Employee Development:
- Administer and maintain the company’s performance management system, including setting goals, tracking progress, and conducting performance reviews.
- Work with department managers to identify training and development opportunities to enhance employee skills and competencies.
- Assist in planning and coordinating internal training programs and leadership development initiatives.
-Compensation & Benefits:
- Administer compensation and benefits programs, ensuring competitive and equitable offerings for all employees.
- Provide guidance on salary structures, bonuses, and benefits packages.
- Collaborate with Accounting Manager to ensure accurate payroll processing and compliance with compensation-related regulations.
-Compliance & Policy Management:
- Ensure compliance with federal, state, and local labor laws and company policies.
- Review and update employee handbook and HR policies to reflect current local, state, and federal labor laws and company practices.
- Monitor and report on key HR metrics (e.g., turnover, employee satisfaction, etc.) and recommend improvements.
-Health & Safety:
- Promote workplace safety and ensure the organization complies with health and safety regulations.
- Address health-related issues and provide resources to employees on wellness programs.
-HR Projects & Strategic Initiatives:
- Lead or contribute to HR projects, such as organizational change, employee engagement, or diversity and inclusion initiatives.
- Stay up-to-date on industry trends and best practices, recommending and implementing HR solutions that enhance organizational performance.
-Communication with Department Managers:
- Communicating key information and policies to department heads.
Experience and Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in human resources, Business Administration, or a related field (or equivalent experience).
- 5-7 years of experience in Human Resources, with at least 2 years in a managerial or leadership role.
- Strong knowledge of labor laws, HR best practices, and company policies.
- Experience with HR software (e.g., HRIS, payroll software) and Microsoft Office Suite.
- Proven ability to handle sensitive and confidential information with discretion.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to interact with employees at all levels of the organization.
- Strong problem-solving and conflict resolution skills.
- Ability to think strategically and contribute to company-wide initiatives.
