Human Resources Manager

 

Description:

We seek a proactive and experienced HR Manager to lead our human resources function across our network of pediatric urgent care clinics, across the state of Alabama. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in healthcare human resources, exceptional leadership, and people management skills, and a comprehensive understanding of HR compliance and regulatory requirements. This role will oversee all HR operations, from recruitment to compliance management, and ensure alignment with our organizational goals and values.

 

Key Responsibilities:

  • Strategic HR Leadership: Develop and implement HR strategies aligned with the organization’s mission and growth objectives.
  • Talent Acquisition: Lead the recruitment process for clinical and administrative roles, including job postings, interviewing, selection, and onboarding of administrative and healthcare professionals.
  • Employee Relations: Act as a trusted advisor to staff and management, resolving workplace issues and fostering a positive work environment.
  • Compliance Management: Ensure compliance with all healthcare regulations, employment laws, and internal policies. Prepare for and manage HR audits effectively.
  • Team Management: Manage and mentor the HR team, promoting best practices in human resources management.
  • Coordination with Payroll: Collaborate closely with the payroll team to ensure accurate and timely employee compensation, benefits, and leave management processing.
  • Performance Management: Implement performance evaluation processes and support managers in developing coaching and development plans.
  • Policy Development: Maintain HR policies and procedures to ensure a fair, safe, and productive work environment.
  • Training & Development: Identify training needs, coordinate educational programs, and promote a culture of continuous learning.
  • Handling Terminations: Manage employee offboarding processes, ensuring compliance with legal requirements and maintaining professionalism and respect.

 

Qualifications and Key Attribute:

  • Education: Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field. A Master’s degree or HR certification (e.g., PHR, SHRM-CP) is highly desirable.
  • Experience: A minimum of 5 years of HR experience, with at least 3 years in in a healthcare or clinical setting, is essential. Experience in managing healthcare professionals and handling the entire employee lifecycle is also essential.
  • Skills: Strong knowledge of HR best practices, healthcare regulations, employment laws, and HR compliance. Exceptional organizational, communication, and leadership skills.
  • Technical Proficiency: Experience with HR-related systems and payroll software is a plus.
  • Ability to hustle in a very fast-paced environment.
  • Hardworking and ethical personality.
