People are Bloomberg's most critical assets and ensuring their success is the key to our success. As part of our HR Global People Services (GPS) team, you will offer local expertise while advocating for employees and upholding the company's goals and policies across our US, Canada and Latin America offices. GPS is a centralized HR function that is critical to supporting the employee lifecycle including new hire onboarding, Benefit enrollment, policy questions and other major employee life events.
As a trusted partner, you will aim to meet our employees' needs with empathy and integrity by delivering a high-quality employee experience in an efficient manner. You will be a true subject matter expert and partner with employees to understand their needs and provide the necessary support. Ensuring you act with tact and discretion; you will advise employees on topics covering the full range of HR-related programs and policies. You will partner with teams across the region to advocate for continuous organizational performance improvement.
We'll trust you to:
- Assess and anticipate employees' requests and resolve within a timely manner and according to procedures, or escalate as appropriate
- Support employees in a professional manner and direct employees to resources as needed, provide policy interpretation & navigation support
- Balance multiple priorities and know how to dedicate your time
- Identifying trends in employees and collaborating cross-functionally to implement proactive solutions
- Act as a liaison between employees and the HR enterprise, actively managing needs and expectations
- Support company-wide programs and initiatives (e.g., open enrollment, new hire orientation)
- Partner with functional areas to support employee inquiries related to all HR programs (e.g., tuition reimbursement)
- Manage, accurately collect, and handle sensitive and confidential information
- Process transactions in the HRIS system, Workday
- Strengthen existing partnerships and build new ones with stakeholders within HR and from other departments
- Proactively identify opportunities for process improvements and make recommendations to enhance efficiency and effectiveness in the GPS workflow
- Work collaboratively with other HR colleagues to resolve employee issues that arise due to policy interpretations or procedural issues
You'll need to have:
- At least 1 year of experience within an HR client facing environment or similar experience
- Proven track record managing difficult conversations and challenging stakeholders
- Ability to work with discretion, diplomacy, and tact in high-pressure settings
- Proven capability to multitask, manage large volumes of work, work under pressure and meet tight deadlines
- Good judgment and the ability to be proactive and take initiative to seek out solutions
- Ability to navigate the "gray" areas by applying judgment and thinking creatively when responding to customer needs
- Curiosity to learn and seek feedback to continuously grow and develop skills, stretching outside your comfort zone
