Education and Experience

  • High school diploma or general education degree (GED) required
  • Bachelors degree preferred
  • 1-2 years experience in an administrative role preferred
  • Experience with Microsoft Office products

Essential Job Responsibilities

1. Answer the main telephone line and email address for the department; follow through with internal and external customer requests for services and information
2. Coordinate requests for information and services for all items in the department email, HR@cciu.org
3. Supports projects and programs, including but not limited to Employee Verification forms, Employee Loan Forgiveness, assisting with Employee Recognition Programs, job posting reports and birthday reports.
4. Facilitate and track the clearance process for new and existing employees, including FBI fingerprinting, state criminal checks and child abuse clearances. Facilitate the clearance review process for ESS substitutes.
5. Facilitate, track and complete Act 168 process for new and previous employees.
6. Assist with new hire data entry. Serves a back-up ADP data entry when needed.
7. Provides internal and external customer service through courteous, prompt customer support, clear communications and follow-through as required.
8. Create ID Badges for new hires and current employees.
9. Coordinates meeting logistics as requested by reserving conference rooms, communicating with participants, and sending Outlook calendar invitations.
10. Provides HR front desk support, which entails one-on-one interaction with CCIU employees looking for information and/or support.
11. Process weekly supply order and purchase orders for supplies using Office Depot’s online ordering system, as needed.
12. Provides routine secretarial duties for Human Resources department including typing, filing, phone coverage, message taking.
