Description:

Nebraska Medicine is seeking an Employee Relations Advisor to play a key role in enhancing organizational culture and maintaining positive workplace relations. This role is responsible for managing complex employee relations issues, conducting investigations, advising leadership on employment policies, ensuring compliance with labor laws, and fostering a productive work environment.

This hybrid role requires employees to reside in Nebraska or Iowa and combines on-site and remote work.

Key Responsibilities:

βœ… Employee Relations & Investigations:

  • Manage complex employee relations issues and provide solutions.

  • Conduct workplace investigations and recommend corrective actions.

  • Act as a liaison between employees, leadership, and HR on sensitive matters.

βœ… HR Compliance & Conflict Resolution:

  • Ensure compliance with employment laws, labor laws, and company policies.

  • Guide and mentor leaders through employment-related decisions.

  • Conduct workplace environmental assessments and implement culture improvement strategies.

βœ… Advisory & Leadership Support:

  • Provide expert consultation to leadership on HR policies and employment law.

  • Support leaders with conflict resolution and performance management.

  • Maintain confidentiality while handling sensitive employee matters.

βœ… Process Improvement & Documentation:

  • Develop and implement HR best practices for employee relations.

  • Document employee relations issues, investigations, and resolutions.

  • Work on multiple projects simultaneously while ensuring compliance with HR regulations.

Qualifications & Experience:

πŸ“Œ Required:
βœ” Minimum 3 years of experience in employee relations.
βœ” Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience (1 year of experience = 1 year of education).
βœ” Experience in conflict management, workplace assessments, and culture improvement.
βœ” Strong mentoring, communication, and influencing skills.
βœ” Proven experience in facilitation, mediation, and workplace investigations.
βœ” Strong organizational and interpersonal skills.
βœ” Knowledge of federal and state employment regulations.
βœ” Ability to handle confidential information and work independently.

βœ” Bachelor’s degree in Healthcare Administration, Business Administration, or HR.
βœ” PHR, SPHR, SHRM-CP, or SHRM-SCP certification.
