Heating Air Conditioning Service Technician

 

Description:

In this role, you will be responsible for performing repairs, maintenance and installs to a variety of equipment including refrigeration, air conditioning, electric motors, heating units, heat pumps, hermetic compressors, light commercial furnaces, boilers, burners, intake and exhaust fans, economizers, and humidifiers. Ensures all work performed is done professionally, timely and accurately according to all policies and procedures.

 

Key Areas of Responsibility

 

Trains new associates on companies’ policies and procedures.

 

Coach and develop associates on HVAC installation and service.

Works safely and ensures safety procedures are followed by all team members.

Coach and develop associates on HVAC installation and technical services

Premeasures jobs to identify proper materials required for scope of work.

Performs the installation of household appliances as needed.

Completes all required paperwork prior to the end of the shift.

Receives, verifies, and loads all equipment and materials needed for each job and maintains stock levels on truck.

Maintains the company’s vehicle and notifies management when maintenance is required.

Effectively communicates with the Service Manager to address departmental challenges.

Independently addresses customer complaints and properly escalates items requiring input and direction from the Service Manager.

Ensures that all work is completed according to manufacturer specification.

Effectively handles all code violations and ensures all corrections are made in accordance with the required timeframe.

Ensures office dispatcher/supervisor is aware of job status and any delays that may occur.

Performs after hours calls in accordance with company policy

The ability to perform sales as directed by manager.

Always performs work in a professional manner. Ensures customers are always treated with respect. Reports any issues or problems to manager immediately.

 

 

Requirements

 

A High school diploma or GED is required.

Must have completed a trade school program in applicable field preferred.

Must be EPA 608 Certified.

Experience of HVAC installation and service technician preferred.

Meets the requirements of an HVAC Installer Service Technician.
