Healthcare It Analyst

Description:

We are looking for a skilled Cerner Lab Analyst to support the implementation, configuration, and ongoing optimization of Cerner Millennium Laboratory modules. This role is crucial in ensuring efficient laboratory workflows, system integration, and user satisfaction within the healthcare IT environment. The successful candidate will work remotely, supporting teams in Minnesota.

Key Responsibilities:

• Analyze, configure, and support Cerner Lab modules such as PathNet (General Laboratory, Microbiology, Blood Bank), RadNet, and Orders Results.

• Collaborate with clinical and IT teams to gather requirements and implement laboratory IT solutions.

• Integrate lab systems with Cerner and external systems including laboratory instruments and LIS.

• Create and validate test plans, manage change control, and ensure proper documentation.

• Troubleshoot system issues, respond to enhancement requests, and manage escalations.

• Assist in data migrations, go-live activities, and provide end-user training.

• Develop documentation for training and support purposes.

Required Skills:

• Deep understanding of Cerner PathNet and lab system configurations.

• Strong experience with orderables, specimen collection workflows, results reporting, and analyzer integration.

• Familiarity with Discern Rules, CCL, and Cerner front-end configuration tools.

• Knowledge of HL7 interfaces and instrument interface tools.

• Excellent analytical and problem-solving capabilities.

• Strong communication skills for effective collaboration across teams.
