As the Head of Business Lines Learning & Development for Commodity Insights at S&P Global, you will be entrusted with leading, inspiring, and cultivating both a team of Learning and Development professionals, plus a team dedicated to designing and implementing Early Careers programs for CI’s Business Lines. Your mission is to create a dynamic learning culture and best-in-class programs that empower our employees to deliver exceptional results and to ensure that CI has diverse talent with the right skills, in the right places, at the right time, to support our ambitious growth strategy. You will be at the helm of crafting and executing the learning strategy and programs, ensuring its alignment with the divisional strategy.

The Team: Reporting to the Head of Business Operations, and a member of the Business Operations Leadership Team, you will lead two small and impactful global teams (BL L&D, Early Careers), responsible for developing and maintaining cutting-edge learning programs, strategy and plans. Working in tight collaboration with the Divisional and Enterprise Purpose Teams, Business Lines, Commercial, Technology & Data, you will ensure a consistent and unified approach to learning experiences and programs.


Responsibilities
 

  • Lead and oversee a global Learning and Development team, ensuring the successful delivery of projects and initiatives.
  • Form and articulate an overarching L&D strategy for BLs in CI.
  • Establish an L&D community at S&P Global, seeking out similar roles in other divisions (or within the division) and partnering with them and the Purpose team to share strategy, plans, best practices and opportunities to collaborate.
  • Lead and oversee a global Early Careers team, ensuring successful delivery of these programs for the Business Lines, collaborate with other EC programs in division/S&P.
  • Champion the evolution of best-in-class tools and workflows, driving continuous innovation and improvement in learning methodologies.
  • Manage capacity and resource planning to meet the dynamic demands of the organization.
  • Foster strong relationships with stakeholders, up to and including MC; the Purpose team, Commercial, Business Lines, Data & Technology and Finance. Agree L&D and Early Careers strategy and plans, and provide transparency as these develop.
  • Be an active part of the Business Operations Leadership Team, working closely with your peers on this team to develop a unified culture and strategy, support and develop all Business Operations teams, and collaborate on areas of shared focus.
     

What We’re Looking For
 

  • At least 10 years’ experience and track record of high impact delivery in L&D roles, including Early Careers programs, in a B2B environment.
  • Have managed a dispersed team for at least 5+ years.
  • Deep experience leading L&D teams
  • The ability to manage strategic, tactical, and logistical issues.
  • Demonstrated ability to develop and successfully implement strategic plans across geographically dispersed teams.
  • You are adept at managing the competing demands of stakeholders at the highest level of a multinational company.
