Description:
The Guest Services Associate (Part-Time) is a very important team member at Frontiers of Flight Museum and is responsible for delivering exceptional customer service to all Museum visitors. This role involves greeting guests, handling ticket and gift shop sales, providing information about exhibits and programs, assisting with events and ensuring that all visitors have a welcoming, informative and memorable experience. The ideal candidate will be friendly, knowledgeable and capable of handling a variety of guest-related tasks.
Key Responsibilities
Visitor Engagement & Customer Service
· Greet and welcome visitors as they enter the Museum.
· Provide accurate information about current and upcoming exhibits, events and educational programs.
· Assist visitors with general wayfinding directions.
· Address visitor questions and concerns in a professional and courteous manner.
· Provide visitors with additional resources such as maps and brochures.
· Support educational programs by assisting with onsite registration and materials distribution.
· Assist with other administrative tasks as required, such as answering phones and managing email inquiries.
· Promote museum programs, events and memberships.
Ticketing and Sales:
· Operate the Museum’s Point of Sales System to process admission, membership, program and gift shop sales.
· Handle cash, credit and other payment transactions accurately.
· Maintain gift shop inventory items, including logging and pricing inventory and restocking displays.
· Maintain a clean and organized admissions desk and gift shop.
General Responsibilities:
· Assist birthday party rental clients by providing information, directions and day of support.
· Provide interdepartmental support as needed, including; administrative, event set up, housekeeping
Qualifications
· Education: High school diploma or equivalent
· Bi-lingual a plus
· Excellent interpersonal and general communication skills.
· Experience in handling payment transactions and operating a point-of-sale (POS) system.
· Ability to multi-task and the flexibility to handle the diverse requirements of the position.
· Proficiency in front desk operations and guest relations
· Strong phone etiquette skills
· Must be able to lift/move 50lbs.
