Description:
- Coordinate and monitor the work of department technicians.
- Train new employees and update employee training files.
- Coordinate daily serology operations.
- Provide input to supervisor/manager regarding personnel management activities such as personnel actions (interviewing, hiring, promotions, transfers, etc.), training and development, providing regular direction and feedback on performance, disciplinary actions, and preparing and delivering annual performance and salary reviews.
- Maintain department SOPs and forms.
- Assist in determining/scheduling daily work assignments.
- Perform routine health monitoring on SPF flocks under ISO/GMP guidelines.
- Assist in the maintenance and communication of departmental systems and SOPs.
- Ensure accurate, high-quality work and adherence to pertinent departmental policies, practices, and procedures (SOPs, safety procedures, and biosafety protocols).
Additional Skills & Qualifications:
- Education: Associate’s degree (A.S.). or equivalent in science or related discipline.
- Experience: 4 years related experience with an Associate’s degree. Bachelor’s degree (B.S.) preferred.
- An equivalent combination of education and experience may be accepted as a satisfactory substitute for the specific education and experience listed above.
