Graphics Designer

Description:

Major duties include:

• Maintain advanced graphics technology and keep abreast of new industry advancements.
• Develop and provide 3D models, animations, computer-generated art, storyboards, flip books and video editing.
• Create interactive software packages.
• Design databases and graphical user interfaces (GUI).
• Construct interactive training packages for Army systems.
• Originate training videos and training instructions.
• Collaborate with technical artists on technology used to create cutting edge graphics.
• Resolve and troubleshoot issues by writing efficient, sophisticated, and practical code.
• Work together with team members, graphic artists, engineers, or marketing on projects.
• Utilize advanced graphics technology for designing, developing, deploying, and maintaining products.
• Conduct research for rendering techniques, algorithms, and industry advancements.
• Use cutting-edge software to create and alter code for animating objects, characters, and environments.
• Create and modify plans, scale models, and animations using advanced computer programming.
• Develop visual models and renderings for future objects and structures.
• Apply client ideas and specifications to generate clear digital representations.
• Analyze visual or physical representations and models for recommendations on changes or identification of potential issues.

Job Requirements:

• Bachelor's degree in art or animation with a minimum of five years of 3D modeling, animations, and computer-generated art experience.
• Demonstrated proficiency in 3D Studio Max, Maya, Blender and SOLIDWORKS software applications.
• Strong ability to prioritize tasks, problem-solve and troubleshoot obstacles.
• Excellent interpersonal skills, ability to communicate both verbally and in writing, with a positive attitude.
