Description:
Essential Duties & Responsibilities
- Understand and execute PacSci mission and brand across all work
- Create and design layouts for print and digital marketing, including posters, flyers, and advertisements
- Prioritize and manage multiple projects within design specifications and budget restrictions
- Perform retouching and manipulation of images
- Liaise with external vendors, especially printers
- Work with marketing, design, and other PacSci teams to develop and execute creative briefs and strategy for projects
- Copywriting, including assisting with writing advertising copy, taglines, and copy-editing
- Develop videos for marketing campaigns, email/website promotions, or other purposes
- Develops scripts, films projects, coordinates with outside vendors as needed
- Performs post-production editing
- Design motion graphics and animation for several media channels (i.e.: television, film, websites, audio, and/or visual).
- Proactively communicate project needs, delays, or blockers to stakeholders as soon as practicable
Position Requirements
- Graphic Design Theory (Typography, Color Theory, Composition & Layout)
- Experienced with Adobe Photoshop, Illustrator, InDesign
- Excellent project management and ability to meet tight deadlines
- Ability to excel in small team environment
- Ability to handle multiple tasks, prioritize, and complete projects under tight deadlines
- Ability to work with employees at all levels
- Act as a team player and have a positive mental attitude
- Maintain organized digital project files
Qualifications
Required
- Bachelor's degree (in graphic arts, design, advertising design, or other related field) or 1–2 years of professional experience in graphic design
- Compelling portfolio of work over a wide range of creative projects, including print layouts, digital advertisements, video, and animation
- Demonstrable familiarity with Adobe Photoshop, Illustrator, and InDesign
- Some experience in Adobe Premiere Pro and After Effects
