We are seeking a Graphic Designer to support the Combined Arms Doctrine Directorate (CADD). As the Graphic Designer, you must have a clear understanding of doctrinal material selected for presentation with the ability to develop coherent ideas for graphics based on the subject matter. Your efforts will cover (Seven separate doctrine production teams) the spectrum of potential tasks from illustrating some specific passages of doctrine to developing new graphics or images to portray a new operational concept. The past doctrine has even included graphics developed by external organizations that met the requirements of a given manual. A need to reach the Army/intended audience, while developing graphics/material that has an aesthetically pleasing visual appearance cannot be overstated. As the Graphic Designer, you must be able to prioritize your effort of work since there are up to seven separate doctrine productions teams for publication prepared by CADD and TRADOC doctrine-preparing agencies. You must have a current active clearance or have the ability to be granted a clearance.

Deliverables Include:

  • Deliver graphics and illustrations using government web-based services (i.e. e-mail, DOD Safe, and other NIPR-accepted sites) to doctrine developer teams.
  • Produce on average 60-100 graphics per month.
  • During the revision of FM 1-02.2, produce up to 250 graphical representations, photographs, diagrams, tables, or symbols a month included as a separate file or as a graphic (usually a . PNG or . JPG file) in a draft or final format. FM 1-02.2 requires one month to complete.
