Description:
Responsibilities Include:
- Working collaboratively with a team and the guidance of the creative director
- Development of graphic assets for digital interactives across a museum exhibit, integrating look and feel of existing design for printed environmental graphics.
- Visual storytelling, ideation and sketching, data visualization, and the ability to communicate to clients at all stages of development, and ultimately, to diverse audiences.
- Production of pixel-perfect graphics to be provided for the media producers and programmers.
- Creating production files and documents, supporting documentation, and monitoring quality and design intent through the fabrication process
- Helping to guide the user experience for immersive environments incorporating large scale environmental graphics and interactive media.
The ideal candidate will have:
- Strong conceptual thinking, problem solving, and collaborative skills. Strong visual design/layout/typography skills
- BA/BS/BFA or higher degree in Graphic Design, with a minimum of 3 - 5 years professional experience
- Understanding of User Interaction design principles and platforms
- Experience in motion graphics development, video editing and media production preferred
- Experience with both print and digital output formats.
- Ability to document and present interim work products to client and team members.
- Mastery of graphic design software a must – Including Photoshop, Illustrator, and InDesign
- Ability to carry forward and further develop creative concepts developed by others and the willingness to follow direction and feedback.
- Excellent time management and team interaction skills with a proven ability to meet budgets and deadlines. Experience coordinating with other graphic designers.
- The ability to manage multiple projects and thrive in a deadline-driven, and highly iterative environment.
- A comprehensive approach to design that embraces content, concept, and attention to detail.
