Graphic Design Coordinator

Description:

The Graphic Design Coordinator reports to the Marketing and Communications Manager as a member of the creative team. This position is part of a fast-paced and dynamic work team that supports all the communications and marketing needs for the Lory Student Center department including multimedia, web, and print design. Candidates should have a demonstrated ability to manage projects independently and work effectively as part of a team.

Within the department, this position collaborates with team members to create engaging and inclusive campaigns that support and enhance the mission, vision, and values of the Lory Student Center. Audiences range from prospective and current students, faculty, and staff, and often the greater northern Colorado community.

Required Job Qualifications

• Degree from an accredited institution of higher education in graphic design, communications, or related field
• Minimum of 1 year of professional design experience working in a collaborative team environment such as an advertising agency or design firm (student employment/intern experience will be counted at 50 percent full-time equivalent)
• Strong portfolio showcasing contemporary graphic design work across various media including print, commercial art, graphic presentation, digital display ads, social media, web design, and/or environmental graphics with specific consideration for diversity and inclusion
• Demonstrated skills in Adobe Creative Suite (InDesign, Illustrator, Photoshop).
• Demonstrated understanding of concepts pertaining to multiculturalism and diversity and how they impact marketing and communications
