Position Duties
70% graphic design:
- Understand audiences and design engaging materials for different audiences
- Update and create templates for division employees, offices and programs, including but not limited to flyers, brochures, social media, ads, PowerPoint presentations and reports
- Update and create Extension statewide, county and program marketing materials
- Support website and e-newsletter images/graphics
- Create designs for promotional items, including but not limited to clothing items, stickers, banners and billboards.
- As needed, provide educational support to internal audience (e.g., how to use templates and co-branding).
20% social media support:
- Design graphics and content for OSU Extension’s main social channels, including Instagram, Facebook, X and YouTube
- Use online collaborative tools (such as Airtable and Canva) to submit social media posts for review
- Create social media graphics for use by division employees, offices and programs to promote seasonal content and specific campaigns or events
10% other duties/projects as assigned:
- Assist with preparation for, and/or tabling at marketing events as needed
- Correspond with OSU Printing and Mailing or other vendors about artwork, files and proofs
- May be assigned additional duties/projects related to design, multimedia and/or marketing support
Minimum Qualifications

- Must be academically enrolled in a high school, community college, or university and pursuing a program or course of study
- Must meet Academic Standing Requirements; students on academic suspension are not eligible for employment
- Must meet the applicable minimal enrollment standard
- High School student: Regularly enrolled in a high school or participating in a home-schooling program
- Undergraduate and post-baccalaureate student: 6 credit hours per term
- Undergraduate international student: 12 credit hours per term*
- Graduate student officially admitted to Graduate School: 5 credit hours per term
- Graduate international student officially admitted to Graduate School: 9 credit hours per term*
