Duties and Responsibilities
- Supports the development of basic design projects or media assignments using Adobe Creative Suite software, traditional graphic production, and fine art methods for the creation of printed and digital materials to meet project goals.
- Collaborates with other designers and assists in the creation of digital graphic files, including publication layouts, branded graphics, data driven graphics, and templates.
- Assists management with populating content into designed templates.
- Learns to design within the DOT and PMP brands and accessibility guidelines for readability, color relationships, and contrast, meeting Americans with Disabilities Act (ADA) compliance requirements.
- Assists in the development of accessible and efficient forms, utilizing design software (InDesign and Acrobat) and the Smartsheet platform.
- Assists with basic ADA remediation in alignment with IT governance, guidance, and state/federal ADA compliance mandates.
- Utilizes remediation software and resources to complete tasks.
- Provides support on various division activities and special projects.
- Participates in team meetings and peer design reviews to ensure the best possible solutions and designs are created.
- Assists with scheduling intake, follow-up, and training meetings.
Writes and compiles meeting notes.
M inimum Qualifications
- Must maintain a minimum cumulative 2.0 GPA.
- Must complete each term with minimum unit requirements for Undergraduate and Graduate student classifications. Proof will be collected at the end of each Spring and Fall term.
